About Kimolos
Kimolos is small enough to walk and old enough to surprise. Its name comes from chalk โ kimolia โ the white earth that shaped its cliffs, its economy and even the colour of its sea.
Between the medieval Kastro and the sunken city at Ellinika, between boathouses carved into rock and an uninhabited island full of goats, the story here is one of endurance: a community that stayed, adapted, and kept its songs.
This platform exists to slow visitors down. Not thirty photographs โ thirty encounters, each with a reason to matter.
Content is developed with reference to the official island resources published at kimolos.gr and is intended to support, not replace, local guides and voices.
